180 Years of Naseby CofE Primary Academy

In October 2023, we marked our 180th anniversary of our wonderful school. We opened up our doors and welcomed in members of the community, including many previous students and members of staff.

The day was spent reminiscing over photographs in our school archive, looking through pieces of work created by our current pupils, catching up with long-lost friends over coffee and cake and listening to pieces of music by a local brass band. We were also able to showcase artefacts which demonstrate our rich and exciting history: photographs of the visit from Princess Elizabeth and our World War II evacuee registers.

Below are a few photographs from the day, along with some quotes from our current pupils about what they love most about our fantastic school.

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend and make the day such a happy, joyful celebration of our small community.

Quotes from our current pupils about what they love about our school:

"What I love about school is our new playground." By Alex, Year 4

"We are very fortunate to have a very big paddock with a wooden climbing frame." By Joey, Year 4

"What I love about Naseby CofE is that the playground is safe, spacious and wonderful. Every teacher is nice and comforting." Ben, Year 5

"Now at school, there are lovely school dinners, clean hygienic toilets and lovely teachers." Cora, Year 5

"I like the school because it's fun with the new playground and it's really soft so if you fall you don't hurt yourself. The lessons are really fun. I like the paddock because it's really big and we are very fortunate to have the trim trail, it's really fun with all the obstacles." By Jake, Year 6
